Elden Ring — Starter Builds That Carry

Overview

These builds prioritize early availability, low stat friction, and a smooth upgrade path.

1) Bloodhound Knight (Dex/Arc)

• Weapon: Bloodhound’s Fang (Weeping Peninsula)
• Ash of War: Bloodhound Step (optional)
• Playstyle: Quick strikes, bleed procs, iframe-like step

2) Bonk Cleric (Str/Faith)

• Weapon: Brick Hammer → Great Stars
• Incants: Heal, Flame Grant Me Strength
• Playstyle: Stagger + self-heal on hit

3) Cold Sorcerer (Int)

• Staff: Meteorite Staff (very early)
• Spells: Rock Sling, Glintstone Pebble
• Playstyle: High stagger, safe range

Tips

• Upgrade your Flask early (Sacred Tears).
• Keep weapon level roughly equal to area progression.
